Providing faith-based problem solving at the collegiate level for student athletes.

I remember how homesick I was when my dad dropped me off at college and told me to "call your mother."

I first went to see my coach and then learned what to do next. And so it began - Life.

I was lucky. I always had a place to go, family to call on and I found faith early on.

Kindred College Ministry may not have been for me but it is for many. My approach is to be available to the student athlete with the full endorsement of the coaching staff and athletic department. A personal contact to counsel without judging. A confidential person to hear about life and talk about issues without worrying about NCAA rules. My ministry is not the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, a great organization and another resource, but this is not about a regular meeting or a group. It is about one person and one counselor. A minister to help develop a pathway to a solution. I have no school ties or endorsements. I have no conflict of interest, just a hope to be a helper. The student athlete must make decisions my role is to help.

I have an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida. I went to graduate school majoring in Accounting. I worked in large public companies and started my own businesses. I have been through the ups and downs of all these experiences. I raised a family with my wife and "counseled" my students - still am. I worked with the admissions office for a major military school and interviewed nominees to be admitted. I played professional golf. I was ordained in February of 2015. I have applied for 501(c) 3 status with the IRS for Kindred College Ministry, Inc. I do not charge by the hour, day or person.

"And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose."
Romans 8:28
